A repair starts long before the service bay

For a workshop serving a car sharing fleet, every appointment begins on the street. Cars must be collected from all over the city, delivered in step with workshop capacity, and returned to the operating area once they are done.

Done in-house, those trips tie up technicians, service advisers or internal drivers. A late arrival delays planned work. A finished car left waiting blocks a parking space and stays out of reach for customers. So transfer capacity has to follow both the workshop schedule and the fleet's changing needs.

StreetCrowd. Because some things still require a human.

NECTURE set up Mechanic Valet to cover the full round trip for car sharing vehicles. StreetCrowders accept tasks digitally, drive the cars and document every handover, so Berolina always sees where its vehicles are.
‍

The cycle:
‍
1. Collect eligible car sharing vehicles from locations across Berlin
2. Deliver them overnight or early morning to agreed workshop parking
3. Match delivery volumes and brands to the workshop's plan
4. Return serviced vehicles to agreed zones in the city

‍

The night shift is where the magic hides. Cars arrive outside working hours, so technicians start servicing at once instead of waiting for a daytime transfer. Arrivals line up with planned slots, and staff stay focused on repairs.

The return trip closes the loop. Once a car is released, StreetCrowd takes it back to the operating area: the vehicle rejoins the fleet, and the workshop's parking frees up for the next job.

Moments of yes

The pilot hit its agreed volume and laid the groundwork for a lasting cooperation.

Pilot outcome (July–September 2026)

Vehicle transfers completed: 600
Vehicle brands: Multiple, in one Mechanic Valet setup
Transfer cycle: Full: delivery to Berolina and return to the city
Berolina locations: Expanded to two after the pilot

‍

Berolina gains external transfer capacity that flexes with workshop demand. Digital documentation makes every move traceable, and payment per task ties transport costs to the services actually used.
For the car sharing operator, timed deliveries and prompt returns mean less downtime: serviced cars are back on the road sooner, available to customers and earning again.

From car sharing to company cars

After the car sharing fleet pilot, the partnership has already grown to a second Berolina location. It uses the processes proven in the pilot and tailors the scope to each site, adding more workshop delivery capacity.

Next, Mechanic Valet opens up to Berolina's business customers. Company cars get picked up at the customer's premises and returned after servicing, so employees spend less time arranging and attending workshop visits. Both locations bring the experience: proven transfer workflows, clear handovers and digital documentation.
